Diversity Protection

To what extent does the cultivation and extraction of the raw materials necessary to produce this product enhance the diversity of life, that is, aids the greater biospheric services of the planet, the localised eco systems (species and habitat protection) and preserves the associated knowledge, customs and prosperity of the indigenous cultures of the territory

Biospherically Correct

We are proud to say that we have worked hard to create hair care formulas that are palm oil free*. Palm oil is ubiquitous in hair products, and as such is contributing to the extinction of species (including the orang-outang) along with vast acres of native forest.

*Disclosure: There is an unavoidable trace of palm oil in the conditioning emulsifier - one of the conditioner ingredients. This ingredient however, is supplied by a company who is a member of the Round Table for Sustainable Production of Palm (RSPO)

We do not use harsh petrochemical-derived surfactants (detergents). Our plant based cleansers are biodegradable and so when entering our water ways produce less bioconcentration - the up take of water-born chemicals by fish and other aquatic organisms.

In regards to preserving valuable "associated knowledge" we support the practice of people working 'hands on' with the flora and fauna of the land- keeping botanical knowledge and connection alive. Many of the flowers and leaves used in the hair formulations are grown naturally by our suppliers, who then carefully hand craft these precious ingredients from nature into the finished product.

Summary: With our hair care, it's all about what is not in our products that makes them bio-diversity friendly. Not tested on animals.
